Get Featured

Likes are the public vote in Obby Builder. Trending is the automatic list. Highlighted is curator-picked and sits beside Trending, not instead of it. None of those systems care that you bought Taller Obby. They care that a stranger finished, understood the route, and tapped like.

Got a Like is a rare badge. Win rate sits around 8 percent. That is not a glitch. Most plots never earn a like because they are Unlisted by mistake, empty after a plot-size purchase, missing checkpoints, or using a default thumbnail that looks like every other gray floor. Treat likes as a craft, not a loot roll.

Player-facing like rules live on likes. Builder roster context sits on the players hub. This page is the publish path.

Likes are rare on purpose

A like usually happens at the finish, not at spawn. If the finish is a void, the runner never sees a like button with a good memory attached. Put a wide end pad, a sign, and a moment to breathe. Then the like is a choice, not a hunt through a death screen.

Do not beg for likes in signs. “Like for like” reads as empty. A short title and a fair first jump convert better. If you must write a sign, write a warning: “one-way mover after checkpoint two” is useful. “LIKE PLS” is not.

Rainbow Parts (99 Robux) can make a thumbnail pop. They do not create a finish. Spend attention on spacing first. The parts tier list tells you which pieces read as fair versus cheap.

Farming likes on your own plot by beating it with Fusion Coil is not the same as a stranger like. Playtests are for fairness. Likes are for other accounts. Do not confuse the two.

If you have never received a like, assume the course is unclear before you assume the algorithm is broken. Watch one stranger run without voice hints. Where they quit is the like you lost.

Trending fills from play and likes. A course that people finish and like can climb. A course that people die on at jump one will not. Traffic without finishes is noise.

Highlighted is curator-picked. It sits beside Trending as a spotlight for builds someone on the team wanted to show. You cannot buy Highlighted. You can only make a course worth picking: readable theme, fair difficulty, complete spine, honest thumbnail.

Do not rebuild your entire plot every hour to “reset” Trending. Save a good version, copy the slot code, and iterate. Rapid wipes teach returning players that your code is unstable.

Follow the official group and favorite the experience if you want update drops, but those follows are not a Highlighted application form. The work is the course.

Thumbnails, titles, and Unlisted

Custom thumbnails are one of the few paid-looking tools that actually change discovery. Take the shot from a readable angle: spawn plus the first interesting jump, or the finish with lighting. Avoid a first-person hammer selfie that hides the course. Avoid a pitch-black advanced lighting shot that looks like a broken image.

Name the slot like a course, not like a username spam string. Signs at spawn should match that name. If the thumbnail says “Neon Castle” and the sign says “obby 12,” you look unfinished.

Unlisted is a draft switch. Leave it on while the spine is air and killbricks. Turn it off when you want discovery. If Unlisted stays on, Trending and Highlighted cannot help you. Friends can still load the slot code you pasted them. That is sharing, not featuring.

Do not Unlist after a bad hour as punishment for the player base. Fix the jump. Save. List again.

Share working codes in the Obby Builder Studio group when the course is listed and finishable. Group members are the 100,000-plus people most likely to run a new slot on purpose. Public server chat is noisier and easier to lose.

Fair difficulty people actually finish

Checkpoints are the featuring mechanic people forget. A hard course with frequent checkpoints can still earn likes. An easy course that drops you to spawn after one miss will not. Place a checkpoint after every new idea: first killbrick maze, first one-way mover, first button door.

Keep the first 15 seconds easy. Discovery traffic includes mobile and console. If jump one is a tightrope over killbricks, they never see jump two.

Tell the truth on signs. If a teleporter is a fake, you will get deaths, not likes. If a mover is one-way, say so.

Playtest without coils. Then list. Then share the code. Then wait. Spamming rebuilds to chase Highlighted is how you lose the version a curator might have picked.

If a like lands, copy the slot code again and stop deleting the finish. Iterate on later stages. The rare badge is easier to keep than to earn a second time from zero.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Obby Builder questions.

Why is the Got a Like badge so rare?

Win rate sits around 8 percent. Most plots never convert a finish into a like. Fair checkpoints and a readable end pad matter more than plot size. See likes.

What is the difference between Trending and Highlighted?

Trending is the automatic discovery list. Highlighted is curator-picked and shown beside it. You cannot buy either list.

Should I keep my course Unlisted to get featured?

No. Unlisted hides discovery. Use it for drafts, then list when the spine is finishable and the thumbnail is set.

Where should I share a slot code for likes?

After the course is listed, share it in the Obby Builder Studio group and with friends. Load steps stay on slot codes.

Do Rainbow Parts help me get Highlighted?

They can help a thumbnail read clearly. They do not replace fair jumps. Rank pieces on the parts tier list and keep the route honest.

Where else do builder stats live?

The players hub and the likes page cover roster-facing like and badge context.
