Likes are the public score in Obby Builder. Badges prove you joined, learned, and finished. Likes prove someone else enjoyed the slot enough to vote. Leaderboards rank those votes. Trending surfaces what the 10-player servers are loading right now. Highlighted is separate: curator-picked builds spotlighted alongside Trending, as the live game page describes it. Confusing those layers is how people buy plot-size passes and still sit at zero likes.

Got a Like sits on top of this system. About 1.31 million awards and an 8.4 percent win rate mean most accounts never convert a visit into a vote on their own work. This page is the conversion guide. How likes land

A like needs a loaded plot and a finish the runner believes was fair. That starts with a slot code someone can paste. Every obby gets one; the slot codes page covers copy, load, Unlisted, and custom thumbnails. If the plot is still a draft, leave Unlisted on so a broken tower does not burn your first impression. When it is ready, turn Unlisted off, set a thumbnail that shows the actual course, and hand the code to one person in the server or in the Obby Builder Studio group.

Do not ask for likes in the title and then hide checkpoints. Runners on mobile and console leave. Place spawn, platforms, and checkpoints first, then one hook. Playtest without Fusion Coil so you feel the same jumps they will feel. If a co-op partner is still placing traps, wait. A like on a moving construction site is rare.

Trending versus Highlighted

Trending is popularity in the current window: slots people are loading and liking now. You reach it by being easy to start, easy to finish, and easy to share. Short courses with a clear end pad cycle more players through the like button than a 20-minute tower. Highlighted is curator-picked. It sits beside Trending on purpose so a well-made plot can show up without already being viral. You cannot buy a Highlighted stamp with Robux. You can only make the kind of course a curator is willing to stamp.

Treat Highlighted as a quality bar, not a lottery ticket. Readable lighting, honest killbricks, one-way movers that you can see coming, and a thumbnail that matches the spawn screenshot all help. Emotes and rainbow floors do not. Featured habits and like habits are the same list until the last mile of presentation.

Leaderboards and the first-like badge

Leaderboards reward totals over time. They are a terrible first-week target. Chase one like, then ten, then a slot that stays loaded when you leave the server. Cash from playing other people’s obbies is the honest farm; it also teaches you which layouts get votes. Beat a Highlighted slot, then steal the checkpoint rhythm, not the theme.

The first like is a social ask plus a design ask. The social ask is a slot code in a 10-player server or the group. The design ask is a course that does not waste that runner’s time. Online co-op can speed the build, but only one owner should toggle Unlisted and the thumbnail so you do not publish a mid-edit save. If the plot vanishes after a crash, Restore Data in the Slots UI before you spam a new code.

Habits that keep likes coming

Ship small, then extend with Taller or Longer only after the short version already has likes. Add signs at new mechanics. Keep music and lighting at a level that still shows traps on a phone. When you add a button or teleporter, mark the destination. When you add a one-way mover, let the runner see the path before they step on. After each session, copy the slot code to a note so you are not dependent on one device. Join the group for advertised bonus rewards and for a place to share a finished code, not as a substitute for a fair plot. Likes stack on courses people can recommend in one sentence.
