What follows is the feature set the studio is advertising right now, plus the older tools still documented in the same description: slot codes, custom thumbnails, co-op, Restore Data, likes, and leaderboards.

Highlighted lists and discovery

The headline drop is Highlighted Obbies: curator-picked builds spotlighted alongside Trending. That split matters. Trending is what 10-player servers are loading. Highlighted is a stamp on a course that deserves to sit next to that list even if it is not already viral. You cannot buy the stamp with Taller, Longer, or Wider. You can only ship a finishable slot with a readable thumbnail and honest checkpoints.

Likes and leaderboards are still in the same description block. A like is a player vote. A Highlighted pick is a curator vote. Both need a course people can finish. If you are chasing either, keep Unlisted off on the published slot and on for drafts. Share the slot code only when a friend has already beaten the line. Empty plots with new lighting do not get curated.

Emotes, lighting, and new parts

The live headlines also call out more customization, new parts, and an Emotes menu. Emotes are a runner and lobby feature. They do not change jump height and they do not replace a finish pad. Use them at the end of a course or in a waiting area; do not require an emote to progress unless you also ship a normal path. New parts should be dropped into the job list on the parts tier page: if a piece does not help spawn, rest, route, or finish, it is decoration.

Advanced lighting is the presentation upgrade. It can sell a night tower or a neon hallway, and it can hide a killbrick if you are careless. Playtest on mobile after you change the lighting. If a trap disappears in the new mood, the update made your course worse. Build the route in readable light, then style it. Customization is a layer, not a substitute for the gizmos in the build guide.

Slot codes, Unlisted, and thumbnails

Every obby still gets a slot code. Paste a friend’s code to load their plot instantly; copy yours before you edit. Unlisted is the privacy toggle for drafts and for courses you only want to share with a code. Custom thumbnails are how a slot looks in lists. A thumbnail that matches the spawn view outperforms an unrelated render. If a load fails, Restore Data in the Slots UI is the documented backup. Do those four things in that order: code, thumbnail, Unlisted state, restore if needed.

Online co-op is unchanged in the pitch: two builders on one plot in a 10-player server. Agree who toggles Unlisted. Agree who copies the code. A co-op session that publishes mid-edit is how Highlighted never happens. Cash, bigger builds, and multiple saves remain the loop around these tools.

One-way movers and how to test them

One-way moving platforms are called out in the documented toolset. They are the best new timing gadget for a compact plot, and they are the easiest way to make a returning player fall. Place one readable mover, show the path, put a checkpoint after it, then stop. A stack of one-way belts under camouflage lighting is not what the update is for. Playtest without coils so you feel the same timing a runner feels. After you add a mover, beat the slot from a fresh load, then hand the code to one person. If they fail twice, add a sign or slow the part. Until the live page grows a new bullet, treat Highlighted, emotes, new parts, lighting, movers, slot codes, thumbnails, Unlisted, and Restore Data as the current set.
